General Rules Governing TARANG 2023

  • One student shall participate in a maximum of five single individual events and 2 group events. Of that 3 must be On stage & 2 must be off stage.
  • For an individual event a school can send two participants.
  • A student cannot compete in category other than his or her own in the case of individual events.
  • Identity Card issued by the organizing committee of these TARANG 2023 is compulsory for participating in any event.
  • Participation in the following common group events shall be irrespective of category or sex.
    • Group Song
    • Patriotic Song
    • Mime
    • One act Play (English)
    • Western Music Concert
    • Band
    • Duff Muttu (Boys)
    • Kolkali (Boys)
    • Margamkali (Girls)
    • Oppana (Girls)
    • Thiruvathira Kali (Girls)
  • Only one participant/ team form a school can participate in the STATE Sahodaya level competition.
  • In case a school secured both first and second positions in a particular category, then the school in the third position will get the opportunity to compete in that event

  • Group items can be registered with two standby to substitute the performers in case of emergency. However substitution while performing on stage will not be allowed. Certificates and prizes will be given only to those students who perform on the stage. Students registered as standby need not pay any registration fee. They will not be issued any Participation Certificate.
